Not many country music groups can put together a harmony as sweet as the trio from Lady Antebellum. Celebrity Speakers Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley, and Dave Haywood make up the award-winning group that formed in 2006. The celebrity speakers albums and hit songs have crossed over into the pop world as well which has generated a new and ever growing fan base for the music group.
The celebrity speakers self-titled debut album released in 2008 and was the first album by a new group to start at #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums list. During this time they began working as the opening act on Martina McBride’s major tour that year, and their third official single off the album titled I Run to You became the music groups first #1 hit. The album would eventually reach platinum status by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in the United States. The music group’s second #1 hit was the title track of their second album, Need You Now, which also reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100, and this expanded their fan base outside of just country music.
Lady Antebellum’s success landed them on many TV appearances including performances on the Grammys, The Voice, Oprah and many other late night shows and networks. The celebrity speakers have won countless awards including winning the Vocal Group of the Year Award from both the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association 3 years in a row. Their album and single Need You Now single-handedly won the music group 5 Grammy awards.
Celebrity Speaker group Lady Antebellum, have also founded their own charity the LadyAID Fund, which partners with The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. They work nationally and worldwide for the betterment of children’s lives by focusing on children’s hospitals and other children who otherwise cannot help themselves.
