Social media speaker Randi Zuckerberg is the former marketing director of Facebook and the sister of CEO Mark Zuckerberg. She’s ranked among 50 Digital Power Players by the Hollywood Reporter in 2010. She has organized and was a correspondent for the ABC News/Facebook Democratic Party and Republican Party U.S. Presidential primaries debates in 2009, the CNN/Facebook Inauguration Day Partnership, Comcast’s Facebook Diaries and a town hall assembled by ABC News as part of its television coverage of U.S. national midterm elections where the event was webcasted and shown on ABC’s website and Facebook. Prior to joining Facebook, Randi Zuckerberg was a panelist of Forbes on Fox and has also authored five books, most notably her first book, Spark Your Career in Adverting.
Hating being referred to as “Mark’s Sister”, Randi announced she was resigning from Facebook to start her new social media firm, Zuckerberg Media in 2011. Noting the lack of women at Facebook and in the industry, Randi strived to be a leader in creating more opportunities for women in Silicon Valley and the tech industry. She has appeared on the Today Show in a segment discussing modern day internet etiquette, and produced shows for the Clinton Global Initiative, the United Nations, and Bravo. Randi is also the editor-in-chief of Dot Complicated, a digital lifestyle website where she discusses the newest innovations with leaders in the tech industry.
