Dwyane Wade

Miami Heat basketball player and Sports Speaker Dwyane Wade has established himself as one of the most well-known and most popular player in the league. He was named Sportsman of the Year by Sports Illustrated and for two years had the best selling NBA jersey. Dwayne started his career playing for Marquette University and the rest is history.

As the fifth pick in the 2003 NBA Draft he went to the Miami Heat and here, he was named to the All-Rookie team and the All-Star team the next season and in his third season Dwyane Wade led the Heat to their first NBA Championship in the history of the franchise. He was named NBA MVP and helped the US Basketball team claim victory at the 2008 Olympics and in his 2008-2009 season, he led the league in scoring. After LeBron James and Chris Bosh joined the Heat, Dwayne was part of his second championship win in the 2012 NBA Finals and continued the Finals championship winning streak in 2013. In 2014, the Heat reached the Finals for their fourth consecutive year, but lost in five games to the San Antonio Spurs. Dwayne recently re-signed with the heat on July 10, 2015 for a one-year contract.

Dwyane was named NBA All-Star eleven times, two time All-NBA First Team, three time All Second team, and three time All-Defensive Second Team. Dwyane is very active in his community and in helping children in need. His foundation, Wade’s World Foundation, provides support to community-based organizations to promote education, health and social skills for children in at-risk situations. He is a devout Christian and chose his number-3-because it represents the Holy Trinity. Dwayne  recently married American actress, Gabrielle Union in 2014.  Dwyane has endorsement deals with Gatorade, Lincoln, Sean John, Staples, T-Mobile and Topps. In 2010 he made his shoe line debut with the Jordan Brand joining Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul who also have their own signature shoe for the Jordan brand. Dwyane is available for speaking engagements, autograph signings and public appearances.
