David Boudia has captured America’s heart as he won the gold medal in the 10-metre platform diving competition, becoming the first male diver to achieve this since 1988. A member of the U.S. National Diving Team since 2005, David was named to the 2008 U.S. Olympic team in the 10-meter platform and synchronized 10-meter platform events. One of the best divers to emerge in this decade, David is the first American to break 600 points in six dives and he also broke the American record for most points on single dive.
During his three years competing at Purdue University, David won three NCAA Diver of the Year Awards, three Big Ten Diver of the Year Awards, and six NCAA Championship Titles proving to be the best diver, if not the best athlete, in the NCAA. David is currently training for the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
David’s goal is larger than his individual success, he hopes by his achievements and example he will bring the sport of diving back into the spotlight. A threat on the podium, David’s personality and charm make him one of the most liked athletes by those in and out of the sport. Determined to make the world a better place and to help those less fortunate, David is passionate about keeping today’s youth healthy and active.
When he’s not training, David’s interests in music, fashion, technology and cars keep him alert of the current trends and styles worldwide. Coveted by corporate America as both a spokesperson and a motivational speaker, David is excited about his opportunity to share his passion and give back to kids in need of a positive role model. David is available for motivational speaking, autograph signings and personal appearances.
