Celebrity Speaker Yolanda Foster has not been in front of the camera all of her life—the current Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (RHOBH) star grew up riding horses on a farm in Holland before she was discovered at a hair show by Eileen Ford, the owner of Ford Models. After signing with the one of the most reputable agencies in the world, Yolanda enjoyed a successful modeling career that lasted fifteen years before she settled in California, where Yolanda joined the cast of RHOBH in its third season.
The reality star may have settled down in Malibu, but the Holland native is still involved in numerous international charity efforts. She has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and the Belo Children Cancer Ward in Manilla Hospital, both in the Philippines. Yolanda works with her 16-time Grammy Award winning husband and his charity The David Foster Foundation, which supports children in need of organ transplants in both the United States and Canada. Crediting her humble upbringing for instilling the right values in her character, Yolanda states that the need to help others is a must.
After a rough bout with Chronic Lyme disease in 2012, which included the insertion of a port into her chest, Yolanda has since spoken out to bring awareness to the disease and improve proper treatment and diagnosis. She was a speaker at the 2013 Time for Lyme Gala. On the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Yolanda has also been a proponent of juice cleanses as a natural and holistic treatment. After the perilous health journey, Yolanda acknowledged her musician husband David Foster’s support and care as crucial to recovery. In response, she established her own love and romance company called Hopelessly Romantic, which aims to keep lovers connected. Somehow, Yolanda finds the time to run her business while also juggling her eight children (three from a previous marriage and five stepdaughters) and filming RHOBH with co-stars Lisa Vanderpump, Kim Richards, Kyle Richards, Brandi Glanville, Joyce Giraud, and Carleton Gebbia.
