Celebrity Speaker and actress Sarah Michelle Gellar rose to fame as Buffy Summers on the television series ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’. Her phenomenal acting earned her five Teen Choice Awards and a Golden Globe Award nomination, becoming recognized as one of the greatest female characters in U.S. television. She was destined to be an actress, as she was spotted by an agent when she was just four years old and invited to audition for a part in the television film, ‘An Invasion of Privacy’. This gave her exposure in the media and she became a child model.

In 2015, Gellar, along with Galit Laibow and Greg Fleishman, founded Foodstirs, a food crafting brand and e-commerce startup selling baking kits, and in 2017, she released her cookbook Stirring Up Fun with Food. By the beginning of 2017, Foodstirs products were available in about 400 stores; by the end of the year, an outpouring of interest from retailers increased its distribution to 8,000 stores. In 2018, the brand entered into a deal with Starbucks to carry Foodstirs mug cake mixes across 8,000 of its stores.

Celebrity Speaker Sarah Michelle Gellar’s first major break came when as a teenager she was chosen to play Sydney Rutledge in the teen drama ‘Swans Crossing’. Her portrayal of Kendall Hart in the ABC soap opera ‘All My Children’ was highly appreciated and won her several awards and accolades including an Emmy Award. Eventually, Gellar made her debut into mainstream Hollywood. Her most successful films, in terms of box office receipts, are I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997), Scream 2 (1997), Cruel Intentions (1999), Scooby-Doo (2002), Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004) and The Grudge (2004).

PHILANTHROPY:

The talented actress is also involved in several charitable activities. She is an active advocate for breast cancer research, Habitat for Humanity, and CARE among others.

Gellar also raised funds for Project Angel Food and Make-A-Wish Foundation. Moreover, she along with John Leguizamo, Hilary Duff, and Amanda Bynes were features on Vaseline’s Skin Is Amazing campaign in 2007. Furthermore, she agreed to auction her nude pictures on eBay so that to raise fund for the Coalition of Skin Diseases.
