Celebrity chef speaker Sara Moulton, a chef, cookbook author and television personality, began her career over thirty years ago and blossomed under the supervision of world-renowned chef Julia Child. She was hired by Julia Child & More Company to work behind the scenes of Julia’s cooking program on PBS where she quickly became Chef Child’s protégée, allowing her to learn the ropes of culinary show business and eventually earning her own position on-camera for Good Morning America as their food editor. Since then, Chef Moulton has also hosted several other television shows, such as Food Network’s Cooking Live, Sara’s Secrets and PBS’s Sara’s Weeknight Meals. Sara Moulton is also known for her Food Network DVD collaborations with other celebrity chefs, such as Iron Chef Bobby Flay, Paula Deen, Rachael Ray, and Ina Garten who she worked with to create the Food Network DVD and Recipe Booklets: Cooking From the Grill in 2003 and Holiday Best in 2006.
Among her many accomplishments in her cooking career, Chef Sara Moulton co-founded the New York Women’s Culinary Alliance, which supports working women in the culinary field, and held the title of Executive Chef of Gourmet magazine for twenty years until it ceased publication in 2009. In December of 2011, she launched “Sara’s Kitchen,” an iPhone app featuring 60 recipes, 60 photos, and ten videos. Chef Moulton has received many awards, such as Culinary Institute of America’s Chef of the Year, a nomination for the James Beard Award for Best Media Personality and an International Association of Culinary Professionals Cookbook Awards winner in the category of Children, Youth and Family. She was also inducted into the James Beard Foundation’s Who’s Who of Food and Beverage in America.
Chef Moulton is the author of several bestselling books, including Sara Moulton’s Everyday Family Dinners, Sara’s Secrets for Weeknight Meals, Sara Moulton Cooks at Home, and Good Morning America Cut the Calories Cookbook: 120 Delicious Low-Fat, Low-Calorie Recipes from Our Viewers.
