Rooney Mara

Celebrity Speaker Rooney Mara is an award-winning actress and the sister of fellow Hollywood star Kate Mara.

In 2005, Celebrity Speaker Rooney Mara made her acting debut in A Nightmare on Elm Street and  The Social Network. Her more recent acclaim came  for her role in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture—Drama. In 2013, Rooney starred in the thriller Side Effects alongside Jude Law, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Channing Tatum.

Passionate about her charity work, Celebrity Speaker Rooney Mara founded the Faces of Kibera which provides housing, food and medical care for orphans in Kibera. The charity auctioned memorabilia from the Steelers and Giants on eBay to raise money. In 2011, Faces of Kibera merged with Uweza Foundation which runs community-based empowerment programs in Kibera. Rooney Mara is available for fundraisers, personal appearances and autograph signings.
