Celebrity speaker Austin Richard Post, more famously known as Post Malone, is a singer, rapper, and songwriter. The 24 year old rose to fame in 2015 after the release of his hit “White Iverson”, and later that year he signed a record deal with Republic Records. Post released his first mixtape in 2016 and went on to perform a song off of it on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. This performance was his first time performing on national television.
After the release of his album Stoney in late 2016, the song “Congratulations” was his first top-ten song on the Billboard Hot 100, and two other songs on the album were on the top 100 hits. Stoney was later certified double platinum in 2017 and in August of 2018 it surpassed Michael Jackson’s record of most weeks on Billboard’s Top R&B and Hip-Hop Albums chart. Post Malone released his second album Beerbongs & Bentleys in 2018 and it had 78.7 million streams worldwide, breaking Spotify’s first day streaming records. Beerbongs & Bentleys also debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, and was certified platinum by the RIAA after only four days. In addition, Post was nominated for four Grammy Awards for this album. This included Record of the Year and Album of the Year at the 61st Grammy Awards.
Most recently, Celebrity Speaker Post Malone released his third album in September of 2019, which is called Hollywood’s Bleeding. This album also did extremely well and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, and won the American Music Award for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album. Not only has Malone racked up millions of listeners for his music, he has 5.8 million Twitter followers and almost 20 million Instagram followers.
In addition to Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Post Malone has also been a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Ellen Show. He has also done numerous performances on many other television shows and award shows as well, and has previously worked with Crocs and has a strong partnership with Bud Light. He continues to reach fans through his lyrics, songs, and partnerships, which has skyrocketed him to fame these past five years and beyond.
