He started his professional background with advertising copywriting, traditional direct marketing, and IT security consulting before he started operating in the Internet industry in 1995. After launching some of Italy’s biggest portals; Kataweb, Wind and RAI Net, Massimo Burgio served as Marketing Director for two Italian top interactive agencies before relocating to San Francisco to launch the California brand of an Italian search marketing firm, but ended up joining a US interactive/search agency for the launch of their San Francisco branch in 2005. The next year, he created Global Search Interactive, a start-up that helps global brands in the lifestyle, education, and technology marketing engage with their target audiences through the integration of search, interactive and social media strategies.
