Sports Speaker and New York Giants wide receiver, Mario Manningham was drafted by the Giants in the 2008 NFL Draft. In the 2009 season, Mario was named starting wide receiver opposite Steve Smith. The 2011 season proved to be the best season yet for Mario as the New York Giants made it all the way to Super Bowl XLVI against the New England Patriots. Mario Manningham made an amazing 38-yard catch in the fourth quarter to setup the win against the Patriots. Trailing by two points, Eli Manning threw a pass to Mario who barely kept his feet in bounds! The Giants went on to be at Tom Brady and the New England Patriots 21-17. Mario finished the game with 7 receptions for 73 yards.
In 2012, Mario signed a two-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers. Tearing his ACL and PCL in his first season, Mario’s stint with the team was plagued by injury, only appearing in 17 contests over the two years. In 2014, Mario signed a one-year contract to return to the New York Giants. Unfortunately, he was injured in the last preseason game and was subsequently released.
Mario is available for sports clinics, personal appearances and sports events.
