Maren Morris

Celebrity speaker for hire Maren Morris is an American country music singer, songwriter, and record producer. She has released four studio albums to date. Her 2015 extended play (EP), Maren Morris, charted on two Billboard Charts.  Morris’ major label debut album, Hero, reached number five on the Billboard 200 chart and number one on the Top Country Albums chart. With this, the Arlington, Texas native became the first artist in the history of Columbia Nashville to open at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Charts with a debut album in the Soundscan era.

After winning an “Artist on the Verge” prize at the New Music Seminar, celebrity speaker Morris got her shot at fame as a songwriter, signing a publishing deal with Yellow Dog and writing tunes for the legendary Tim McGraw (“Last Turn Home”) and the iconic Kelly Clarkson (“Second Wind”). In addition, she ramped up her touring schedule, sharing stages with artists as diverse as Pat Green, Radney Foster, and Marty Stuart.

In 2015, Morris’ debut single from HERO, “My Church,” set a record at Country radio by having the most chart reporting stations to play a debut single by a country artist with 107 stations the week it hit the airwaves in addition to being certified DOUBLE PLATINUM by the RIAA. The song went viral, generating over 2.5 million streams in a little over a month. The major labels in Music City took notice, and Morris signed a deal with Sony Music Nashville, which dropped a five-song EP in November 2015.

In June 2016, Sony pushed “My Church” to country radio in anticipation of her full-length debut album Hero. The album peaked at number one on the Country Digital Songs chart. Moreover, the album reached the top five on the US Hot Country Songs chart. Morris won a Grammy award for Best Country Solo Performance in addition to  CMA’s New Artist of the Year award, earning her a slot on Saturday Night Live late in 2016.

In January 2018, celebrity speaker for hire Maren Morris provided vocals for “The Middle“, a pop collaboration with Zedd and Grey,  which reached number five in the United States and received three nominations at the 61st Grammy Awards.
