Fifth round pick of the 2007 MLB Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays, Sports Speaker Marc Rzepczynski made his professional debut that season with the Jay’s Class affiliate Auburn Doubledays. In 2008 he made his move to the Class A Lansing Lugnuts of the Midwest League, finishing with a 2.83 ERA. After a series of injuries from other players, Marc Rzepczynski was given the opportunity to play for the Blue Jays against the Rays. He won his first major league game on July 18, defending the Boston Red Sox.
On July 27, 2011, sports speaker Marc Rzepczynski was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals with Octavio Dotel, Edwin Jackson and Corey Patterson the St. Louis Cardinals went on to win the 2011 World Series against the Texans. He currently plays for the Cleveland Indians since July 2013 as a left-handed pitcher.
