Koren Grieveson

Celebrity chef speaker Koren Grieveson is a professional celebrity chef and television personality. Grieveson has cooked at restaurants such as Aqua in San Francisco, Spruce and Blackbird in Chicago and was asked to participate in cooking for a healthy kids fair at the White House in 2010. Most recently, the celebrity chef speaker has worked with fellow celebrity chef and mentor Paul Kahan at Avec, an award-winning Mediterranean wine bar in Chicago located next to the famous restaurant Blackbird, as their chef de cuisine.

Koren’s career at Avec rewarded her many accolades including the James Beard Foundation award winner for Great Lakes Region Chef and being named a Food and Wine Best New Chef in 2008. With so much success working at Avec, it came as a surprise in 2012 when Grieveson announced that she was leaving the restaurant after a successful five year run. Soon after, she moved to New York where she still resides today.

Chef Koren has appeared on several cooking shows including an appearance as a guest judge in season 4 of Bravo’s series Top Chef and competed against Iron Chef Cat Cora on Iron Chef America, the episode featured butter as the secret ingredient for the competition. The competition ended with Chef Grieveson tying Iron Chef Cora, putting Koren in good company and earning credibility in the culinary industry.

Celebrity chef Koren Grieveson is partner to Food Network star Anne Burrell and announced their engagement in 2013. Anne Burrell is known as a television personality for hosting shows such as Worst Cooks in America, which she co-hosts with Iron Chef Bobby Flay, and her latest series, Chef Wanted with Anne Burrell.
