Juan Reyes

Technical professional in the Home Entertainment Industry for over six years, Juan Reyes has leadership experience as an Authoring Engineer working with DVD, UMD and Blu-ray formats. Being an Author for Deluxe of both the DVD and UMD formats, Juan helped in the early stages of the development of the format to help customers understand the capabilities and limitations of the format.

At Panasonic Hollywood Labs, he oversaw a team of fifteen Java Engineers and Authors and helped to lead the development of several breakthrough Blu-ray features including: the first Blu-ray disc with .AVC video, the first dual-layer Blu-ray disc, and the first PiP Blu-ray disc. He has also played an important role in the technical production of the most advanced BD-J titles: Pirates of the Caribbean, Independence Day, I, Robot, Sunshine, Ice Age and Fantastic Four.

While at BluFocus, Juan Reyes assisted in managing the production for The Dark Knight. For this production, his responsibilities included communicating with all groups involved to ensure that timelines were met and any issues were discovered and taken care of promptly.
