John Tu

Business Speaker and founder of memory-chip company, Camintonn, John Tu founded Camintonn with partner David Sun in 1982. Six years later, they sold the company for $6 million and founded Kingston Technology. Then, John Tu and David Sun sold 80% of the company to Softbank for $1.5 billion in 1996 prior to buying back the company in 1999 for $450 million.

Kingston is the nation’s largest privately held computer memory company, as it reported record revenue of $6.5 billion in 2010. Part of the business speakers charitable contributions, John Tu donated $1.2 million to give every first year medical student at UC Irvine an iPad. On his free time, he is a drummer with his band, JT and California Dreamin’. John is available for speaking engagements, hosting, and endorsements.

Kingston has supported the Freedom Writers Foundation which is is a non-profit organization created to inspire young, underprivileged students to pick up pens instead of guns.

The business speaker is also the Co-Founder of Kingston Technology. Kingston Technology is an American, privately held, multinational computer technology corporation that develops, manufactures, sells and supports flash memory products and other computer-related memory products.
