For the past decade, health and wellness speaker and internationally recognized fitness expert Jessie Pavelka has dedicated his life to helping others develop practical solutions to lose weight, thrive through exercise and nutrition and live well. The majority of his knowledge came from his time as a bodybuilding and fitness model. Since then, he has appeared in numerous fitness magazines and hosted several fitness reality television shows. In 2014 he was named as a new fitness expert/coach on the popular NBC weight-loss competition series The Biggest Loser.
Because of his friendly and firm attitude towards participants in past reality fitness competitions, he recently became one of the new trainers on NBC’s hit series The Biggest Loser alongside Jennifer Widerstrom. He has provided support, advice and served as an inspiration to men and women with his life changing work on the Sky’s Obese: A Year to Save My Life and Fat: The Fight of My Life as well as in Lifetime’s DietTribe. Jessie has also motivated numerous people on Oprah’s OWN Wake-up Workout, The View, and The Doctors.
In his spare time, Jessie is a patron for Helping Overcome Obesity Problems, which aims to assist obese people find healthier alternatives to their lifestyle. Most recently, he launched The Pavelka Health Revolution, where he promotes the quality of life, health and wellbeing. Through this program, Jessie uses four elements of health to give each person a unique set of tools needed to create the lives they want and deserve.
Although Jessie has appeared in a variety of popular TV shows including Friday Night Lights and Rita Rocks, Jessie has always been involved in some aspect of fitness and health because of his love with football, but it wasn’t until college that he decided to focus on finding another passion. He managed to put more effort into his fitness and health and learn more about it while studying at the University of North Texas.
Jessie’s first big break in the industry was when he met professional boxer Ed Connors, who introduced him to bodybuilding. Jessie frequently flew to Los Angeles where competed in competitions and eventually became involved with fitness modeling.
In January 2015, Jessie joined the team on Good Morning Britain to launch their campaign of ‘Sugar Free GMB’.
