Jennifer was born with skeletal dysplasia but she decided early on in her life that her dwarfism wasn’t going to limit her ability to achieve the lofty goals she had set for herself. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Miami before earning her medical degree from revered Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. During her residency she also earned her masters in Medical Education from the University of Pittsburgh. She is currently working as the Medical Director of the Simulation Center at Texas Children’s Hospital.

In 2013, Jennifer was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer that stemmed from pregnancy complications she had experienced in the past. She took some time away from work and went through the necessary treatments and grueling road to recovery and is now cancer free! She and her husband Bill have adopted 2 children, a son Will from China and daughter Zoey from India.
