NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver and Sports Speaker Jeff Burton drives the #31 Caterpillar/Wheaties car for the Richard Childress Racing team. Burton earned his first NASCAR Nationwide Series top-10 finish in March of 1989 at the Martinsville Speedway and earned his first win at the same track in 1990. Jeff Burton first competed in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in 1993,was the Rookie of the Year in 1994, and won his first Sprint Cup event at the Texas Motor Speedway on 1997. From 1997-2001, Burton finished each season in the top 10 of championship point standings.
NASCAR driver Jeff Burton was named NASCAR Illustrated’s 2007 Person of the Year. 2013 marked the veteran’s 20th full season in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, having notched 21 wins, 130 top-five performances, and over 600 starts. Jeff currently races part time while he is in the process of becoming an analyst for NBC. Burton and his wife Kim are avid supporters of the Duke Children’s Hospital in Raleigh, NC. Jeff Burton also serves as a Board Member of the Armed Forces Foundation.
