Jay Samit

SeaChange International CEO, Social Media expert and Celebrity Speaker Jay Samit is known for his accomplishments in digital media innovation. SeaChange International is a company that enables transformative multi-screen TV services for video service providers globally. He is the former CEO of SocialVibe; the Internet’s largest engagement advertising platform. SocialVibe has reached over 200 million social media users each month. Following the end of his time with SocialVibe in 2012, Samit moved on to serve as president of the free social video-chat service called ooVoo. Jay was awarded the 2013 Mobile Ambassador by the MEA and lead his company to win multiple awards for the ooVoo mobile application including the Best App Technology award by Appster, the Best of the Year distinction in 2011 and Venture Summit’s Company of the Year in 2012.

Jay has held senior management positions at Sony, EMI and Universal Studios where he had the responsibility to develop new digital media. In the 1990’s Jay Samit developed a new social media for college students which became the first million-member online community. He also founded Jasmine Multimedia Publishing where he created more than three hundred software titles, developed key advances in music and video technologies for companies such as Apple, Microsoft, Intel and IBM.
