Celebrity Speaker for hire Martina McBride is a country pop singer and songwriter. Known as the “Country Celine Dion”, she has had five singles top the Billboard Country Charts. She’s sold over 14 million albums and is a fourteen time Grammy Award nominee. In addition McBride is a four time Country Music Association’s “Female Vocalist of the Year”, and a three time Academy of Country Music’s “Top Female Vocalist”.
In 2018 she released a new cookbook, “Martina’s Kitchen Mix”, combing her love for music and cooking. In 2019, McBride started off the year strong with two celebrity culinary events with the Food Network from Miami Beach. Born on a Dairy farm in Sharon, Kansas, McBride grew to love country music at an early age. Inspired by artists such as Reba McIntyre, she began her music career singing in her father’s band, “The Schiffters”. After moving to Nashville with her new husband, and playing in multiple other bands, she became the concert production manager for Garth Brooks. Since then she has released thirteen studio albums since her debut single “The Time has Come” in 1991.
Beyond her musical career, McBride focuses on using her platform to make a difference. She serves as a spokesperson for the National Domestic Violence Hotline and National Network to End Domestic Violence. Since 1995, she hosts the annual Middle Tenessee YWCA Celebrity Auction, raising over $500,000 towards empowering women across 120 countries. McBride has also been instrumental in campaigns such as “My Time to Shine” and “Team Music is Love” to raise money and awareness to combat teen dating abuse and breast cancer. For her altruistic efforts, she was awarded the “Minnie Pearl Humanitarian Award” in 2003.
