Celebrity Chef Speaker Fabio Viviani is a restaurateur, television personality, cookbook author, and personal chef to one of Hollywood’s most recognized actors, William Shatner. Viviani’s Italian roots are never more evident than when he is cooking. He is the owner and head chef of one of Los Angeles’ most popular restaurants, Café Firenze Italian Restaurant and Martini Bar where the dishes are inspired by rustic Italian and Mediterranean influences.
Chef Fabio’s career in television began in 2008 when he appeared as one of the contestants on Bravo’s Emmy Award winning reality cooking competition series, Top Chef. While he did not win the competition for cooking, he was voted Fan Favorite by viewers which, some would say, is a greater accomplishment. Fabio gained recognition from the judge panel as well during the show’s fifth season of competition.
Following the success of his time on Top Chef, Fabio has appeared on such television shows as The Ellen Degeneres Show, Access Hollywood, The Chew, Today Show, and many more. He also used his newly notable name to secure substantial endorsement deals with companies like San Pellegrino and Domino’s Pizza. His popularity has also earned him product placement, such as his ceramic cookware available in Bed Bath and Beyond stores and regular QVC channel appearances where he promotes an array of different products. Fabio returned to Bravo in 2010 to compete in their Top Chef: All Stars and co-starred in the 2012 Bravo reality series, Life After Top Chef. In 2014, Fabio planned to open three different restaurant, two of them would come to Chicago.
In 2013, Celebrity Chef Speaker Fabio Viviani published his first cookbook, Fabio’s Italian Kitchen, where he shares more than 150 recipes derived from skills he learned from his Italian family while growing up in Florence, Italy to techniques he has come to perfect in his culinary career after moving to the United States. In the spring of 2013, Viviani went on a book tour promoting his book in thirteen cities nationwide.
