Sports Speaker Dale Earnhardt Jr. is a household name in the world of auto racing.

Dale is the driver of the #88 AMP Energy/United States National Guard Chevrolet SS, Dale Earnhardt Jr. drives for the Hendrick Motorsports, and his own team, JR Motorsports in the Nationwide Series. He is son to late NASCAR Hall of Famer, Dale Earnhardt Sr. and grandson of late NASCAR driver Ralph Earnhardt. Dale has won the Most Popular Driver Award twelve times and has a net worth of an estimated $300 million.

Sports Speaker Dale Earnhardt Jr. began racing cars at 17 in the Street Stock division at Concord, NC’s Motorsport Park. His first race car was a 1979 Monte Carlo that he and his half-brother owned together. Dale co-owns JR Motorsoprts, a NASCAR team in Mooresville, NC which is also co-owned by the owner of his Cup ride Rick Hendrick. Its cars include #5 and #88 Chevrolet Impalas and began in a shed on one of Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s properties. The original intent of the business was to help him sell t-shirts and get sponsorship deals. But not until 2002 did the company turn into a team, when T.J. Majors drove street stock division at Concord Motorsports Park and the first win for the team came at Motor Mile Speedway in Radford, Vain 2004. After Dale Earnhardt Jr. signed with Hendrick Motorsports, the Hendrick and JR Nationwide Series teams merged. The 2015 season marks Dale’s sixteenth in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competition.

Dale owns Hammerhead Entertainment which produced and created the TV show Back in the Day, airing on SPEED, and Shifting Gears that appeared on ESPN2. He is partners with investors who are building Alabama Motorsports Park, A Dale Earnhardt Jr Speedway and opened a bar named Whisky River in downtown Charlotte, NC and later opened a second Whisky River in Jacksonville, FL. In 2013, Dale started his own signature line of eyeglass frame’s with NY Eye Inc. Dale recently announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Amy Reimann in June 2015.
