Global innovator, Apple co-founder and Business Speaker Steve Wozniak is an iconic IT personality and philanthropist. His Apple products and designs have shaped the industry and the world of technology as we know it. In 1976, Steve and Steve Jobs founded Apple Computer Inc. with its first Apple I personal computer. The following year, Apple II personal computer was introduced which featured a central processing unit, keyboard, color graphics and a floppy disk drive. This device played a huge role in launching the personal computer industry.
In 1985, Steve Wozniak left Apple to get involved in different business endeavors with a focus on computers in schools and stressing the importance of hands-on learning for creative minds. Wanting to make investments of resources in education, Steve ‘adopted’ the Los Gatos School District and helped to provide the student and teachers with hands-on teaching tools with state-of-the-art technology. He is the founder of Electronic Frontier Foundation and founding sponsor of the Tech Museum. In 2009, he joined Fusion-io as their chief scientist and released his autobiography, iWoz in 2006. Steve became an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia in 2014. This same year, Industry Week added Steve to the Manufacturing Hall of Fame. Steve will be portrayed by Seth Rogan in a new upcoming movie called Steve Jobs a feature film by Danny Boyle coming out in 2015.
