She is currently the President of Ingenious Designs, LLC that is the company that holds her product lines.
Celebrity Speaker Joy Mangano’s first major success came as a result of her innovative Miracle Mop product. The Miracle Mop was an incredible success once Mangano began appearing on the QVC network to sell the product. Even ten years after its introduction to the market, the Miracle Mop as selling $10 Million worth of units per year. Mangano’s most famous invention was a product known as Huggable Hangers. Huggable Hangers were an enormous commercial success and are the best selling HSN product to date. Oprah Winfrey has endorsed the product personally, and it has sold over 300 million units. The Huggable Hanger effectively took Mangano into an elite realm of entrepreneurs who had reached top-level success for their products through shopping channels and non-traditional media outlets. Over the past 20 years Joy has released several more successful products on HSN, and has even partnered with other celebrities like Serena Williams and Rosie O’Donnell to help push their products on the market. In 2014 Joy broke her own HSN record for units sold in a day by selling 216,000 “Comfort & Joy Memory Cloud Pillows”. Over the course of her career, Joy has accumulated over 100 patents on her various products and inventions.
Joy’s stardom has even sparked a movie about her life. David O. Russell’s movie titled “Joy” is planned to debut around Christmas 2015. The film is about a struggling single mom of three children (Joy) who invented the ‘Miracle Mop’ and is the President of Ingenious Designs, LLC. It stars Jennifer Lawrence as Mangano, Bradley Cooper as an executive at the Home Shopping Network, Robert De Niro as Mangano’s father, and Édgar Ramírez as Joy’s divorced husband.
Aside from her career, Joy is a strong single-mother of three children, two of whom currently work for her array of businesses.
